I wish I could see a larger version, but you look so elegant in your dress, Rosie. I was married last August and much as I loved my dress, I can't help feeling it was the wrong choice for me. Loved my veil though! : ) Congratulations to you both and I wish you all the happiness in the world.

Psychologies Magazine We're looking for someone who has had the experience of losing everything, to talk about what happened and how she got through it. We'd be particularly interested in how the experience of having nothing changed the way you live now. If you'd be interested in being featured in Psychologies, contact us at psychologies@psychologies.co.uk with "lost and found" in the subject line.

I know a lady who emigrated to Canada to start a new life there with her husband and they "lost everything". I don't know how or why it happened, but I know it was sudden because they had a holiday in the Rockies booked and had to come home to England with nothing - they had children at the time.

I don't believe in the One and I still have a succession of romantic failures. Maybe I defy logic then...

I think people, maybe women especially, project their hopes onto a person, crediting him with qualities that he may not possess. Effectively this means we may be in love with someone who doesn't really exist. We should all throw away our rose-coloured specs and read "He's Just Not That Into You".

There¹s a German word, kinderfeinlichkeit, which means a social hostility towards children. We really have a bad case of it in the UK.

There are 2 sides to every story and I've heard a lot about how thoroughly spoiled many kids are today. I used to think all kids were like this, till I met the children of the partners of my firm. It was a revelation. They were well-mannered, polite, intelligent, articulate, a total joy to be around. I thought I was dreaming!

When I was in high school, in India, I remember feeling devalued as I wasn't mathematically inclined and this didn't look to good on my report card. My family weren't that understanding about it and that didn't help me. But I can never forget how a maid who worked for us at the time, told me "you can do it; it's all there inside you and all you ... Read moreneed to do is trust yourself. You are a capable girl." I was stunned and humbled and empowered all at the same time. I've always remembered that when I feel low.
