What an absolute farce. Yet again the BBC show how out of touch they are. When they make 'factual documentaries' about religion do they go and only get interviews and opinions from extremists too? The reporter had obviously done no research whatsoever in the subject he was being paid to investigate ('..can I get high from the smell....?'!!!) and ... See Moresubsequently goes and interviews a 'former user' that was blatantly fabricating horror stories, his friend having effects for 3 days?!!!! Pure science fiction. Just sums up the Governments approach to Drug Research, pathetic.

What is astonishing is how government and their supporters have the cheek to fudge the real issues here. Yes, these top scientists' expertise is confined to assessing all aspects of the harms issues. Politicians - especially ideologically puritanical or weakly populist ones like ours - may very well feel obliged to follow other priorities when ... See Moremaking law. But they are caught by their own shoe-laces here, since the law requires assignment of a drug to classes A to C to be decided objectively via harm assessments. Political rhetoric like invoking the alleged extra dangers of new strains of skunk - something only the experts can and did assess - directly challenge the advisers' own expertise, so are a totally intolerable affront to independent science itself.
