Kev Bailey Hello Billy & Steve. Many thanks for your feedback on Wednesday's programme regarding my comments on Susan Boyle. I still maintain she has a fabulous voice- however maybe it's unfair to campare her to other singers- as in the end it's all down to the personal tastes of the listener. Her vocal style is indeed different ...to that of Connie Smith's version of "How Great Thou Art". Susan's rendition still holds up- even if she does sing the same verse four times!!! I would still take issue with you saying that SuBo's album is filled with "modern songs to appeal to the younger audience". For example, is Wild Horses still a modern song??- it's now a seasoned classic- it was written in 1971- long before Billy had a perm and Caring Steve was just a glint in Alf Bradshaw's eye. Great show and may the debate continue.
