Carole Anne Buren How fortunate to be living near and around the Chesapeake Bay. It certainly has a lot to of information to offer all of us--esp if one grew up in PA, NY or DE. Going fishing, boating and doing a lot of sightseeing --- is great---I think we should find ways to preserve this natural wonder.

Gas drilling activity in the upper Susquehanna River Basin strikes again. Read "Fracturing fluids spill into Susquehanna County Stream" at Wayne Independent (link at end of post). If your town or city gets drinking water out of the Chesapeake Bay, this is something to be very, very concerned about: http://www.wayneindependent.com/news/x57 6510049/Fracturing-fluids-spill-into-Sus quehanna-County-stream

Janet Mangum We just started putting spats in cages at the end of the pier...They take 18 months to mature, then there is plenty to eat and plenty to help to help the bay....Love bay oysters.

Lisa Baensch Chernoff To everyone who loves the bay - if you haven't already, read CHESAPEAKE, by James Michner. The history (although historical fiction) is unbelievable. It's a long read, but well worth it!
