Craig Kiely As a young boy, I was terrified of the beaked Skeksis, the Garthim, creatures existing somewhere on the evolutionary ladder between a beetle and a crab, and the horrible fates of the Podlings as their life essence is drained for the use of the warped Skeksis civilization. Just had my husband watch it for his first time, on Blue-Ray--always amazing! Then watched "The World of The Dark Crystal" behind scenes with Henson and Oz and how the crew did everything by hand, everything except the castle was lifesize, and they had little TV monitors inside each of the puppets so the performers cou...ld have that feedback. Incredible. That type of production probably wouldn't be made today. Can't wait to show it to my son--how young do you think one can see it? Now he's only two years old...Read more
