The Scout Association
Hello,
The Scout Association and Involve are organising debating events at each of this year's party conferences (taking place over the next three weekends) in which your Scouts have the chance to air views direct to the UK's top politicians.
The events will focus on some of the most crucial issues that affect young peop...le today; including knife crime, playing outside to combat childhood obesity, volunteering and getting more involved in politics. You can find out more at www.scouts.org.uk/bigissues
If you are located in or around Birmingham, Bournemouth or Manchester then you could bring your Scout Troop, Explorer Scout Unit or Scout Network along to the party conference to take part in a workshop with politicians and policy-makers. Drop us an email to find out more about getting involved - scouts@involve.org.uk
If you can't make it to those, you can take part an online version of the debates expressing your views at www.scouts.org.uk/debate
Thanks... Matt Read more
