Blurb now includes TWO BOYS. ONE SOUL. WHO WILL SURVIVE?, From the opposite ends of the world, two boys are brought together in London by their extraordinary abilities. Jon can foresee the future, Will can change the past. Together they could end our present., and But the curse that gives them their powers is also thei...r greatest threat. Their abilities are being sought after and there’s only one way out of it: they must escape the ritual set at the Vespertine Hour..
Opening lines now includes I was born at the Vespertine Hour. Since then I’ve been cursed., “Samaritans – Can I help?”, I’d forgotten I had the receiver of the phone pressed to my ear. I put the phone down. She was a stranger, not someone I could talk to., Not two seconds later, my fingers tapped on the dialling buttons again, nervously as if they understood my need to talk to someone better than I did., But the Bane was gone. That. Was. It., There was nothing I could do to get it back. What was I calling the Samaritans for? As if…, Mr Rosencrantz said that it was still there, buried under tons of guilt or... something like that. He said I just had to find a way to unlock it, Unlock it? Curse it! I did try. And all I got back were the same old images. The girl floating in the river, her eyes open, staring back at me. Her body blotched and swollen, as if she was made of bubble wrap. I wanted to retch at the thought. The Bane had vanished since that day, when it all went wrong, and I didn’t want to remember., Now things were different. I wanted the Bane back, all of it and more. I had to try harder and I had to be quick, Mr Cower was going to be back any moment. I didn’t want him to find me here, in my father’s study room, as much as I didn’t want to see him creeping around my house., and I picked up the receiver one more time and dialled..Read more

Hi everyone!
and thank you for your great feedback on the mock covers. In the end I settled for... the one above. Hope you like it.
Why am I doing the covers?
I'm going to get a couple of hundred postcards printed with that cover on one side and the blurb on the other. So that whenever I bump into an agent (since that hap...pen just about every other moment - I wish!) I can hand out a postcard and say, 'Hey, read this book yet? It's great. Let me tell you all about it...' And the rest it's history. Yeah right...Read more
