War Child Canada War Child Canada has partnered with
Soundstreams to help them launch their 2009/2010 concert series with a powerful
pairing of music and drama.

Strange News, on October 29, 2009, is a gripping, multi-media exploration
of the world of child soldiers. This moving piece was created in 2007 by
Norwegian composer Rolf Wallin... and Belgian writer/director Josse De Pauw. Real
footage of children forced into combat is paired with a visceral score for
chamber orchestra, and the story of a child soldier is woven by the narrator,
young Ugandan Actor Arthur Kisenyi.

Stravinsky’s A Soldier’s Tale (1918) directed by Peter
Moss and featuring the brilliant Canadian theatre legend Martha Henry as narrator will complete the
evening.

We want to extend a VERY SPECIAL OFFER to all of our Facebook
friends.
From now until October
27th, we’re offering you two
tickets for the price of one simply by calling 416-366-7723 or
visiting www.stlc.com Use the code 241222 to purchase a
ticket for you and a friend to attend this unforgettable
concert.
