Today the airbrush came out again! I decided to make a cake for my daughter who's birthday it is...in about half an hour! LOL! I've been hearing for weeks that my grandsons may be getting a tortoise as a pet....horror of horrors I have to say! I look upon these creatures as I do spiders...

Time to bring this out again! You can see how to make the Snowman here http://vimeo.com/328871

Celebrating same sex marriages which is fairly new to L.A. I am taking this workshop there in March/April next year. The dates have to be finalised but as soon as I know them for certain then they will be posted right here...

Extra Icing! LONDON class bookings for February are taking place right now! The latest Bride and Groom will be taught as the first of a series of London classes for 2010. See WORKSHOPS on my website for details.

This blog is turning into the Absolutely PINK blog! I had a lot of pink paste left over so had to put it to some good use so what better way than to create a little Christening theme or Baby Shower perhaps....not so popular in the UK but it doesn't stop me trying a wee design out here and there...

You can see more views of the couple on Flickr to get the full effect of the bride's dress. I will be teaching this class in London in February and in Preston, Lancashire in May. At the moment I am discussing the Los Angeles dates which will be either March or April or a bit of both...

Extra Icing! working on a new Bride and Groom for the classes in January...to replace the picture shown on the website at the moment. The class will be taught on other dates throughout the year in other areas. Lancashire B&G classes are now posted on the website under Workshops in the Menu.

Finally...I have used the Airbrush I bought in Austin in August! I knew this would be the perfect cake to give it a try as the colours are mostly solid. The real test will come when I create something that requires shading...

This is the first new design for 2010 workshops around the country and perhaps Overseas...who knows. Some of the projects for Overseas have still to be decided so perhaps I'll give this one an airing and see what the response is...

Well...what can I say? Another amazing year at the Cake International Show at the NEC Birmingham. I was tagging along with my good buddies Sugarshack who, for the second year running, have given me space on their stand to demonstrate what I do...

Extra Icing! You can follow me on Twitter....not that I make much sense on there! The Twit that I am had a previous account not showing my real name, but I have changed all that! Follow me on http://twitter.com/LorraineMcKay
