The cooperation with the municipal representantives will enable us, in the first months of 2010, to hold a turn of meetings in the local schools, with the aim to incline young people to marine biology and to the preservation of the Environment in general. On Sunday 18th October both conferences (at 11.30 and 16.30) had been joined by at least 300 people, who demonstrated their interest making many questions to the speakers in order to clarify their doubts. The conferences were spaced out with the demonstration of the dressing up of a Scuba Diver of Bucanieri Sub Club. The main part of the conference focused on the current state and the preservation of the coral reefs and on the implementation of a sensible behaviour in buying souvenirs of animal origin. To this purpose, it was delivered to all the audience a leaflet by PADI Project Aware about the preservation and the safeguard of the Sea. The event made a good success and a great continuation, as shown from the attached photos.
