I bet there are more people in the country that are anti-hunt than anyone thinks, but like you say they're just afraid to speak up. I used to work in the heart pro-hunt country in a village called longworth, near Oxford. My boss at the time was anti-hunt and his house backed on to a hunt kennels. Told me some horrible things about what went on ... See Morethere and also told me that the village was split 50:50 pro:anti, which gave me heart as I'd always just assumed that country people were pro - that's what's always put me off supporting countryside issues!

I agree, Mandy. The only real 'vermin' or 'pests' on the planet is the human race with the wholesale destruction we have caused to the environment and to other species. We, as a species, think we are above all other living things and that we have a 'right' to destroy them when we don't. We breed like a virus to the exclusion of all else.
The nasty, vile Countryside Alliance are a prime example of the human race's arrogance and unpleasantness.

Giles Bradshaw is a Grade A c*ck
sorry for foul langauge.
Surely flushing out causes either physical or mental distress on the animal therefore this should be deemed as cruel.Once again im left scratching my head at the RSPCA!

very disappointed that my local MP has written back to me today stating that he and his party would support the repeal on the Hunting ban. Apparently the ban does nothing to protect animal welfare. I'd like to stick him in a field, chase after him on horseback with a pack of dogs for a few hours until he's too exhausted to run anymore and then dig him out of wherever he hides so he can be ripped apart. Lets see how he likes it.....

Not me either, tossers!! How dare they say that to live in the countryside you have to enjoy killing things. The creatures you butcher on a daily basis have as much right to life as they do, if not more!

Im a Christian who attends church and therefore all God's creations should be valued. We have no right to take life and when its for "sport" as a psychologist & counsellor I can say it demonstrates psychopathic tendencies, a person who derives pleasure as opposed to repulsion and pain, suffering and gore are no better than the Fred Wests and Myra ... See MoreHindleys of this world. Animals are utterly defensiveless and totally loving and trusting of humans given the chance and correct treatment. Why dont we gather the "elitist" red coat idiots and practise cosmetic/drug/etc products on them. Or put them in a cage of lions and see how they fare? After all, we are overpopulated arent we? Plus we would reduce the carbon footprint.
