Please vote in our poll and tell us what you think.
We’re always trying to find new ways to improve Race for Life and thank you for supporting us. We’ve had a few ideas and would like you to tell us what you think. If we were to hold an event to celebrate your fundraising success, which of the following would you be most interested in?
option 1:
Street party on London’s Regent’s St. free to participants.
option 2:
A ticketed one-day Race for Life music festival.
option 3:
After party straight after your Race for Life event.
option 4:
We’d just like to hold our own celebrations

2 or 3 - think 3 is likely to be less costly, and I'd hate to think I was raising money that went on the admin fees/balloons for a party :(

I chose "after party straight after RfL event" because it does not restrict the potential audience (ages, sex, ethnic background etc) and is easier to attend (it's right there!) .
Actually, I do feel that the RfL events finish a bit abruptly - I think it would be great to keep the momentum going up to the early evening perhaps, especially for those who took part in the race and are on a buzz!

option 3 so we can all raise funds, not only those who can attend special events.

Yeah 3 sounds great, I did feel like it was all over a bit quickly.

number three as some people cant get to regent st! or street party after each event ie. london glasgow belfast etc.....
14 October at 07:03
Nancy
Option 3! finishing the RFL is always such an anticlimax, it would be great to stay on and picnic and listen to a bit of music or something! (PS Option 1 sounds like it would be costly to the charity!!)

A ticketed one-day Race for Life Music Festival, but held in lots of different locations (like the race itself), bring it on!!!
14 October at 07:30
Jemma Stephens
option2 if you're going to do something, but i think for most people just taking part and raising money for a cause close to our hearts is enough
14 October at 07:36
Gill Delaney
I think option 3 - sheffield always has the local radio station there anyway so it shouldn't cost any extra. Maybe to have music playing during the race would be good too - it always gets a bit mundane oonce away from the main stadium but guess thats deoenadnt on local residents etc

option 3 plz x x

options 2 or 3 would be great. A party straight after would be able to include family and friends who had been supporting you. xx

Option 3, a cold drink and a barbecue would be nice after a jog in the park!
14 October at 08:56
Lesley Smith
option 3 would make a great end to the RFL event

option one - no it excludes everyone who lives outside of London and why do big events always have to be in London anyway!!?? Option 2 sounds OK again as long as it is not in London. Option 3 would be my choice then everyone has the opportunity to celebrate their achievements

to the people who say it finishes too abruptly, it might do for the participants, but it doesn't for the volunteers who have to pack everything up into the van for the next event! :)

Option 2..but if only one held may be difficult for many to get to option 3 prob most practical for all to enjoy the idea of local bands previously suggested would probably draw more in and other "money raising " things factored into the days fun..Sometimes it does feel a bit "flat"after the race!
