Hey, allow me to start off by saying that I love SE products but sadly not all your attributes are "lovable" to name a few:
- The call manager only displays the time of the last call/missed from a certain contact, if I gut 3 missed calls from my friend I want to be able 2 know when each happened sometimes it helps, when it doesn't ..well i want it anyways :D
-The new website looks great but takes forever to load.. like seriously forever!!
-You know how 2 make the headlines with your announcements but it takes for ever for a SonyEricsson product to make it from a rummer to solid reality on the shelves.. Idou was the 1st 12MP phone announced ..Samsung had released 2 12MP phones so far.. the only exciting new release was the X2 which wasn't your best invention to be honest, I loved the physical keyboard but I want a different OS and a bigger screen!! Btw I think the Idou is a bit bulky and maybe unbalanced -just a thought- a slimmer device might be more eye candy ;)
-There is NO android SonyEricsson.. we're big boys now, symbian doesn't cut it for us anymore :)
- No mac support!!! Is a mac PC-suite too much 2 ask for? And can you please make it easier to save my mesgs?
Best Regards :)

Umm....Sony Ericsson might have some problems but is way better then what other companies offer. The satio may be a bit bulky but its one of the best ever. And as for the Android sony ericsson, they are going to release one but it would take some time. Its the sonyericsson X3 racheal which is one android phone with one large resolution(852x480). that even beats nokia N900 and I agree X2 isn't the greatest invention but Aino is one unique phone and the guesture gaming in Yari will be great too!
Personally the only problem I have with my Sony Ericsson that the Messaging memory is too low... I get a texting memory abve 95% every week after emptying the it!

well to start with, I totally agree that they're better then others.. when the devices are actually out! But sadly that never happens soon enough, see the SE Racheal - X3 or X10- won't be officially be announced before next November and won't be released before next February*, a lot of waiting don't you think? Something like that makes a messaging memory a tiny little thin, which ironically it is.. it would be a great thing if i could back up my inbox on a folder on my memory card :)
Guys at Sony Ericsson are you listening?

- On my last phones (W800i and K810i) I could write an answer to a message, while on the same time opening the same message to re-read it, just before I send it (to make sure I'm writing the right answer etc.) - this is no longer possible in my W902 :(
- On W800i I could minimize the Walkman application just by clicking the "end (c)all)-button - on my W902 this makes the music stop; please don't stop the music? :)

Other than that: Keep up the good work!

not in order of importance..

1. too little phones with aesthetics geared for the ladies market. for most of the phones, their outward appearance look truly attractive only to the guys. nokia is doing a much better job here and i *might* just switch to nokia if SE doesnt do anything about it soon.

2. some hardware problems experienced with recent models too, eg. phones shutting down by themselves, or WSOD (white screen of death). have decided to wait for some more time before buying my next SE because of this.

3. also, can't search for messages using keywords or sender name. (or is that only because i'm using a slightly older model - k800i?). have to scroll through hundreds (literally) of smses before i could find the sms that i was looking for.

4. motion capture for the video cameras still not as good. videos are fast becoming today's mode of communication, so i think its good to have good motion capture (like in iphone??).

ditto to all the probs mentioned by other users, esp Nabil Kabalan's post.

other than tat, nothing much. SE's software (not hardware tho) interface is da best. =)

On my W705 , media menu (Usefull??) was very very slowly if the telephone has got a lot of multimedia file, i prefer the last media album from my W300 or my w880, more faster to organise and found a file

Same as Thorsten Brønholt :"I could minimize the Walkman application just by clicking the "end (c)all)-button - on my W902 this makes the music stop; please don't stop the music? :) "

If it's a walkman phone, it will be more easier to control it with more walkman buttons on the side of the phone other than volume like on my w705, it was better on my W880 or w300

headphones was very good but often disconect from the phone when you put it on your pocket if the connector was on the side of the phone. And i often lost the ear adapters cause it's too easy to unput it...

Shortcuts can me more precise, like to choose an application instantly for example

Make Black list like on the samsung phone, it's more better than a white list :)

after that i don't know for the moment. It's was my 5th SE (T300 , K700, W300, W880, W705 ) and i will be faithfull to you cause i never had a problem with your phone !!

well i been using sony ericsson for years now n one thing i can say is we could sure do with alot more variety more choice in phones once they release a new one they discontinue another phone . i really wanted the w960 n when i could afford it it had been discontinued .
Another thing is the price i dont know if its just africa but damn sony ericsson phones are expensive compared to a nokia or a samsung or a nokia which has more features .
and android as mentioned earlier how long do we have to wait for an android phone . on top of that it will probably cost us an arm n leg
facebook and twitter apps all models should get software updates with the applications i have seen the application for w995 and c510 is it so hard to port it c905 or c902 they all basically the same

I have a phone memory that's full of text messages. I want to send them to my computer, but there are no instructions for how to do that.

I've been to the web-site, and there's nothing there either. None of the troubleshooting guides tell you how. (It was easy to transfer photos).

HOW do I transfer txt messages to my PC?

someone tell me please.

i love sonyericsson handys since i got my first s.e. s700i and my w950i...what i don´t like about sony ericsson they always produce small screen phones with an old design and the color is dull not attracted, software really need to change its style, icons and menu system and most of all there´s no wifi...

im looking forward to see more affordable touchscreens of sonyericsson and blackberry styles with wifi new icons, new menu styles, functions, nimbuzz ,bigger screens like 2.8 inches for normal bar or sliding handys and touchscreen handys 3 to 3.7 inches or a combi of touchscreens and blackberry styles.design is really the matter, screensize, color,OS,durability and easy to use...

that´s what i want to say to sony ericsson...hopefully they read this!please show us lots of stuff...thank you and more good stuff in the future!

Hi!
Actually is not exactly a thing i don't like from Sony ericson, but i have a c902 (that i really like), and i'd like it work with an UMTS/HSDPA 850 Mhz band, because in Telcel (Mexico) that is the only band available, and my c902 just work with 2100Mhz, so i can't make the most of it.

By the way, Is there some way to change that (without changing my phone)??

HI!
ok am the one who's got the biggest issue!!
i am using a w980i!! nd the plug where u put the charger usb nd headset wasn't working so i changed the socket nd it got even worse....
i took it to an x2telecom company in saudia arabia nd instead of making it better now all i can do with my phone is just charge it.... i think sony ericsson should make like a magnetic socket like the macbooks perhaps i think its going to be alot more easier nd will not get jacked up so easily..... nd it's only been with me for 13 months!

hey.. well I love SE phones as well.. but.. there are a few things I dn't really like..

1.- The Software Updater for Sony Ericsson should be able to reinstall my phone's firmware, even if a newer version hasn't been released yet.. (useful for example if mine is having problems..)
2.- There should be apps developed by sonyericsson to work with the phones. These apps should have integration with the devices, That's the only way SE can beat the BlackBerry fever that's going on in my country (unfortunately...)

well, apart from this, I looooooove my K850i.. it's a great camera phone
(my friends criticize me cuz they say my phone is too complicated to use, but they always love my pictures and my features like email and stuff hehehehehe)
I just say, SE is for people who really like to use mobile phones and also enjoys trying something different, practical and new :-)

Sonyericsson should really put some more energy into creating more applications. It's always fun to have something new to install to your phone, right? =)
AND WHY ISN'T THERE MUSIC MATE FOR AINO?! :o

I don't get it why it must be that hard to combine a smartphone with a camera WITH a lenscover or what it's called ;) I just got my Aino and it's such a waste that the camera isn't protected. Then it doesn´t matter if its 3 or 8 mpxl. Some ideas from Sweden...

What I'd really like is if you could take the database of words that you've added to over the life of you phone with names etc and then enter it into a new phone.
This isn't something that only S.E. phones don't do, it's something that all companies don't do.

I've put a post here looking for it

I was Nokia user all the while but last 25th May 09 I bought my first Sony Ericsson C510 a new model in town. It was rather fantastic until early Sept when I started to notice defects at the edge of the display. It started to propagate over time.
As normal practice I brought the phone to the outlet to launch a complaint on 4 Oct 2009 and it took them 3 weeks to revert to me. During the 3 weeks, I called many times to check on the status… I was told that this is a new model, they have to check and parts take longer to arrive. I have no phone to use and have to borrow from friends. After the 3 week long of waiting the shop came back, “we are waiting for the parts and the phone will be repair by end of the week.” And I keep on waiting until 28 Oct 2009, I was told that it was the display casing plastic defective and it is not under warranty. I was shock, at one hand I was told they are waiting for parts and now telling me that NO WARRENTY!! How come Sony Ericsson never stands behind your product quality??? The casing defective and it came from your factory and you tell me that you are not responsible for it??? Who should be responsible??? Is it me that who chose to switch from Nokia to SE?? I have used so many hand phones and none of have this problem and the worst is the company Sony Ericsson is so irresponsible and never stand behind your product quality!!!! Never take responsibility for products that produce in your factory….. How come you never check??? And now it fail and you expect your customer to pay for it??? I was told, I must pay RM70 in order to fix the problem. I feel very unhappy and I want to ask, am I being fairly treated?? And is this consistent with SE policies and practice or it was the local office that trying to be too smart. In fact i want to check with you, is this the way how you repay to your customers??? Pushing the problem away????

You guy have the similar experience??

I think the support from Sony Ericsson Malaysia is super lousy.
I have the same problem when I have to deal with Sony Ericsson Malaysia, not just the authorised service center... but the call line run by Sony Ericsson themselves is equally as horrible (long wait before your call is attended to, and the so called customer support is out to get you and accuse you rather than being helpful).
I have a C905, and been a great supporter of SE phones... but the ear speaker died on me three times since I bought it in less than six months... and getting it fix is such a chore. And the technician ruined my slider in the process of fixing the ear speaker... and of course, they say it is not under warranty and accused that I have screwed up the slider before sending it to them!
Was able to use Wayfinder before sending the phone to change the ear speaker. After going to the service center, the GPS is not working with Wayfinder but it works fine with Google maps... and I really wonder how to get it fixed if it is really a defect of the phone or firmware problem. Just thinking about the lousy support service, I think I rather safe the trouble of going to the service center.
I used to be able to redial from my bluetooth headset (original SE) to the last called number before. After upgrading my phone to the latest firmware...I no longer is able to so anymore. Nice, isn't it?
My W760i currently used by my husband now always hangs (white screen and restart on its own. It doesn't show the most frequently called and received number on the call history either.
We would like to get another SE phone... but will it comes with more problems?
I certainly hope Sony Ericsson would look at their support here in this country.

@ Diane O'Donovan You need the latest version of PC suite. The one that came with the phone would not support this. Once downloaded, there is an option doe messaging that will allow you to transfer your messages.

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/pcsuite/w350a?lc=en&cc=us

You will see another phone selected but it does not make a difference.

I have been using Sony Ericsson since Sony and Ericsson Merged, i have always loved my phones, The Sony Ericsson P910i, W810i and K800i has been Sony Ericsson's Best Phones ever.

What i dont understand is why SE cant compete in this business, Sony Produts have always been most people's favourites, the fact that i hate is SE cant make a device to compete with Apple Iphone.

I had very high hopes from Satio and X10, Satio disappointed me big time, even its camera is not as good as Samsung 12mp and the fact that we are living in big memory world why Satio doesnt have enough user memory. Such a high end device didnt do well in its first month and now it costs less than N97. It is as advanced as N97, it is better than N97 so why the hell it lost its value.

I guess the answer would be user memory and the fact that people who were testing Satio did not give good impression about Satio before its launch, I think Sony Ericsson needs to reconsider who should be testing its devices before release.

Xperia X10 is on its way and before launching it SE needs to change its user memory to at least 16gb or 32 gb to be able to compete in this market.

I am using W580i, and i have also seen quite a few other ericsson phones..we can not make folders in message section! eveything gets cluttered in the same inbox! also messages are not numbered. i never know how many messages i have in my inbox, of i could go to a messages by jst scrolling looking for a message by number. Can not scroll through messages directly by pressing "next" key to see next message, have to go the inbox again and then scroll and open the next!

Also the log thing is annoying. As in like nokia, we have separate log section where all details of connections are present with date, time, DURATION, success, etc.. here its just a list, with last date and time.. also if i want to check at what particular time i received/made calls from/to a number, i can just check the last time which actually overwrites the previous time.. so i can never know since when is a person is trying to reach me when i see 5 (or whatever number) missed calls from a number!

These are two things that i really miss in my phone.. I love my phone otherwise..

about xperia X10, i saw the screen has 16K color display..! isn't it just too less??!!
