It is with great sadness we have learned of the death of ex AB’s member Stuart Hayes. Stu played for the band in the early 90’s before emigrating to Australia. We were so sad to see him go back then; he was a great guitarist with such a loveable personality, he sure enjoyed a pint and his punk rock. Apocalypse Babys send their deepest condolences to his wife Fiona, family & close friends. Rest in peace my mate! xxx

Thanks to all who have bought the new album by the way, and for your messages too, it really is appreciated. Not a lot happening on the gig front to report, Punk’s not dead, it seems it’s just having a bit of a lie down in its old age. The next scheduled AB’s ‘performance’ is this one up in Yorkshire with our friends Hospital Food in August!

Apocalypse Babys are looking for a 2nd guitarist to work alongside Rob. Front man Asterix is apparently stepping down from guitar duties as according to one band member who didn’t wish to be identified the AB’s vocalist is now ‘too fat’ to play properly.
“The main problem is that the guitar just keeps moving further away as his beer gut increases. We’ve bought him longer straps but he just keeps eating more pies! I’m always worried the next gig could be our last because the ...stage could give way at any minute!” “And now his eyesight is failing too because he’s so old he doesn’t know what chord he’s playing half the time!” added another member. “No that’s because he’s so drunk” they both sniggered... anyway, another axe-man is indeed required. Preferably one who doesn’t need Mr Magoo’s glasses to see the fret board! Own transport and decent gear essential. Message us!
