We live in Largs and time our trips to Glasgow to allow for lunch at the Junction. The food is tasty and freshly prepared. Sure it's sometimes busy but that's because it's good. I always enjoy a with the friendly staff and remember to take home a loaf of fresh baked bread.
One point....their carry out sandwich bags and cups are all biodegradable and I can pick up used coffee grounds to enrich my compost heap. What's not to like......

It was very busy as it was lunch time we popped in. We were only in for a reviving coffee. Service was quick. Lots of amazing cakes. A quick glance at the menu has us promising to return for lunch of ...afternoon tea with a cake or two. See more

We love to eat there. It is the only place that I can take the soup without indigestion. Even my own home made soup gives me problems. I love Jo's baking - especially the Bakewell tarts!! Garlic b...utter is brill - it won't last three months in our house. See more

Nice coffee and incredible fruit scones. Very busy café/bistro suggests to me that quality in the food and service is the reason getting a table could be difficult!

We are proud to say that we support at least three of the businesses mentioned in this article : A&J Douglas Dairy , Corrie Mains Eggs and Dunlop Dairies (via JR Fine Foods) #local #food #buylocal #slowfood #traditions

With news like this from all around the UK - should we perhaps now be looking at researching our local food economies, supporting local food producers and buyin...g from local stores run by and for local people?

Dairies like us, Roan's Dairy, A and J Douglas, The Ethical Dairy, Forest Farm - The Organic Dairy, @auchentullichfarmshop and Wee Isle Dairy can supply milk directly to their local areas, pasteurised and bottled long before many mega-dairies have even collected milk from their own supplying farms.
AWESOME small businesses like @glasgowlocavore, Whitmuir the Organic Place Barwheys Dairy, The Wee Dalry Dairy, Bhaile Craft Bakery, Corrie Mains Free Range, Freedom Bakery, Renaldos Ices, Nethergate Larder, Dunlop Dairy Good - Life Farming and THOUSANDS of other small producers and supporters make delicious, healthy food right on your doorstep too.

Time for a change back to how we used to be?????
